A practice is a funnel, not a mystery. Six numbers you can mostly estimate from memory — your rate, how long a client typically stays, how many people find you, how many enquire, how many book — will tell you what one client is worth and which referral channel is quietly losing the most of them. At a $200 hour over 24 sessions, one client is $4,800, and one extra client a month compounds to $57,600 across a year. That is the arithmetic that turns growth decisions into sums instead of anxiety.

The rest of this section is the administrative floor. The Board of Behavioral Sciences has answered the telehealth question directly: a California licensee may treat California clients from outside the state, so the constraint is tax and the destination country's own rules, not your license.
