What the rule actually says

Holding two BBS registrations does not halve your exposure, it doubles it. Every cause is pleaded twice, the probation runs on both, and §4982.25(b) separately makes BBS discipline on one of your licenses unprofessional conduct as to the other.

Where insurance reaches, and where it does not

Confirm whether your policy covers you for each license you hold or only for the profession named on the declarations page. Several therapist policies exclude practice outside the named profession outright, which for a dual LMFT/LPCC registrant is a live question rather than a technicality.

What would have changed it

  • The reportable event is the conviction, not the arrest, and the clock is 30 days from it.
  • If you hold a second registration, notify both. There is no shared record between the two files even though they sit at the same board.
